Tidal Bouquet illustrates a matrix of local oceanic flora and fauna, creative interpretations of the species often encountered in the tide pools of Edmonds beach. Here seaweeds react to currents, grasses collect like bouquets of flowers, and sea stars reveal themselves. As an imaginary tide sways this bounty, the elements interweave and connect, going with the flow together.

Visual artist Allyce Wood works with digital painting and woven processes in her work to concepts of legacy, bounty, and optimism. ’Tidal Bouquet’ was created in an effort to speak to the eco-diversity we have the honor of witnessing in our shared environment, as well as creating a sense of wonder and interconnection.

Tidal Bouquet is made in support of the City of Edmonds.
